Obtain care information for the exact style
Ask for the confirmed fiber percentages and the proposed care instructions for the garment you intend to order. A product described as cotton may include other fibers, and its buttons, labels or decorative details also need consideration. Do not copy care instructions from a similar-looking item. If the reference description is incomplete, record the missing information as a supplier question and resolve it before approving the label or writing your retail product page.
Follow the label before choosing a method
Read the full care label, including washing, drying, bleaching and ironing instructions where provided. Use the stated method for that garment and ask the supplier to explain any unclear symbol or wording. There is no single wash temperature or machine setting established by the word cotton. If you need a different care method for your intended customer experience, discuss that requirement during sampling instead of assuming that the existing construction will support it.
Support the knit while handling it
Handle a knit gently and support its weight rather than pulling it from one edge or opening. During any permitted care process, follow the instructions for reshaping and drying, and avoid introducing your own stretching step. If flat drying is specified, ask how the supplier recommends arranging the garment to retain its intended shape. Do not substitute hanging or tumble drying for the labeled method. Keep your care observations tied to what you actually did.
Record a useful sample-care review
Before starting, identify the sample, photograph it and record agreed measurement points using the same method you will use afterward. Note the care instructions, procedure and any relevant settings. After the item is ready for comparison, record observations about dimensions, appearance, seams and trims. A home or office sample review is an observation of that sample, not a formal test certificate or a guarantee for every item. Discuss unexpected results with the supplier.
Store samples without losing their reference
Keep approved samples clean, dry and clearly identified, following any product-specific storage instructions. Avoid crowding or arrangements that place sustained tension on the knit. Retain the label and specification together so a later reviewer knows which material and care instructions were approved. If you keep a cared sample and an untouched reference, label them separately. That distinction helps you explain whether a difference was present at receipt or appeared during your recorded review.
Confirm what the customer will receive
Review the final care wording and its placement with the supplier before production. Ask which language versions and label format are included in the quotation, and obtain appropriate destination-specific advice where needed. Keep the approved label artwork with the sample and measurement chart. For a Mimixiong enquiry, include the reference style and explain any care requirement that affects your collection. Material, label details and production terms need confirmation for the exact order.
